Colibri started as a small group of weavers in the Solola area, most of whom were widows due to the violence of Guatemala's civil war. Now Colibri provides a steady income to more than 500 Mayan women in 25 small villages throughout Guatemala, all under the direction of Vey’s contemporary aesthetic.
