Simon Alcantara’s background as a professional dancer is evident in nearly every aspect of his jewelry design, from his expert’s appreciation for balance and movement to the women who made up his first fan base: his ballerina friends. When an injury forced Alcantara to retire from dancing, he refocused his energy fully on his fine jewelry, which now incorporates stones, bones, mother of pearl and precious metals in pieces that are simultaneously exotic and elegant.
