Mungo’s fabrics are truly international: Along with domestic South African wool, cotton, and mohair, Belgium linen and Italian viscose chenille are woven into table cloths, bed linens, pillows, towels, and other textiles. Master weaver Stuart Holding founded Mungo in Plettenberg Bay in 1998, employing members of the local community to work in the boutique weavery—fabricating Mungo products from the initial steps to the finished design.
