Rachel Concho
Rachel Concho, a member of Acoma Pueblo's Roadrunner Clan, is long considered to be one of Acoma's finest potters. She learned the art of making pottery from her mother, Santana Cerno, and is renowned for her signature seed pots. She won "Best In Show" in 2000 at the prestigious Santa Fe Indian market, as well as a first place award at Gallup Ceremonials. Her work is featured in many books, including "Southwestern Pottery Anasazi to Zuni." Her designs are derived from ancient pot shards discovered on the lands of Acoma Pueblo.
